Isn't a 'Negative' campaign the last thing Republicans should have done?

Obviously Americans themselves are pi$$ed about the poor leadership of Bush and our current situation with the economy which is more associated with republican policies... So why would McCain's campaign turn to even more negative tactics on Obama?Isn't a 'Negative' campaign the last thing Republicans should have done?

It's the stupidest thing I've seen. As of this moment, we still don't know what his plan is. We don't know how he's different from W. All we know is that he is against Obama. His stances are like he's in the Senate and Obama is the President and he's saying he's against the President's plan.





mcSAme used to be the king of the independents, but negative campaigning turned independents into Obama voters. FauxNews loved it, but that's about all.



I am supporting McCain simply because if Obama is elected there is no question he will be killed and that isn't' good for America. Don't under estimate the power of human ignorance, he will be killed by someone in the KKK or IKA this isn't conjecture it will happen. This is just another example of ignorant America, God bless America.

What did they see to manipulate a gifted speaker to thinking their way.Wright hates white America,a educated ha ha Bomber,and a crook slumlord.Great crew there Obama.Of course that threesome will be forgotten if elected for Pelosi,Reed and Barney trio.Was that the Change Obama was referring to?
republican campaign failed big time.. they first failed with choosing Palin then they asked Mccain don't be yourself get into shape like stiffed army hero ..that was horrible to watch him irritated and frustrated all the time he looked raged maniac on the debates.





then they started their smear attacks which was their last attempt to control of Palin's horrible interviews and McCain's jumping all over the place and changing his mind on issues every 5 min..





now last 8 days still they are doing what ever did not work so far.. I am thinking his advisors not that bright just like Palin..
I would have liked it had the republican party endorsed a candidate that was driving down our throats what they plan to do in the next four years. Not have a candidate that spends a majority of the time 'dissin' the next guy.


I can stay home and keep paying the same tax (or more), transportation costs (or more), food costs, etc...and 'dis my next door neighbor if I want to hear insults.





I am not going to choose a candidate based on how he/she can sling mud. Mud is outside my house. I want them to tell me what, why %26amp; how they are going to make the lives of US citizens better.






A 'Negative' campaign is the last thing either side should have done. Especially McCain. He should be working on fighting to bring his votes up...not putting someone else down and not even with facts! One thing that will cost him the election, the other is that joke Palin!
Yeah, pretty sure it's going to hurt the Repubs in the long run.
