Where is the ';change'; upon which Obama has based his entire campaign ?

A quote from today's NY Times: ';...his (obama's) administration could be heavily stocked with Democrats who served under (President) Clinton.';

Where is the change if Obama uses the same old Washington insiders. I would like Obama to succeed as president, but I would also like to see him keep his word. Where is the ';change'; upon which Obama has based his entire campaign ?
there are a lot of ignorant people on both sides of this issue. There are people who will follow obama off a cliff and there are people who will condemn him even if he's successful.

Why are we even talking about this now? He's not even president yet. Give him a chance before both sides jump on him.Where is the ';change'; upon which Obama has based his entire campaign ?
Obama never promised to change the people who run our politics, he promised to change the way the politics were being enacted. A favorite anecdote of mine is on page 130 in ';The Audacity of Hope';, involving a democratic senator from a conservative state in 2001 talking to Karl Rove. The senator wanted to vote for the Bush tax cuts, but was troubled by the degree to which they were overwhelmingly skewered towards the very wealthiest. After proposing some changes he told Rove that if you ';make these changes, not only will I support this bill, I will promise you 70 votes in the senate';, to which Karl Rove replied, ';We don't want 70 votes, we want 51';.

It would be absurd to surround yourself with inexperienced people, and he is not using Clinton's top appointments, just people who got their start under Bill. To choose people with experience in Washington for a modern government, you must either choose people who were first appointed by a Clinton or a Bush, or can be referred to by a Latin-prefix-generian.

Most of the people he has appointed thus far are not members of his campaign, but are members of his transition campaign. They are just their to make recommendations on the subject matter of their expertise until the actual appointment is made. With these people in particular, you want to have someone with experience in Washington. It is even better if they have already served on the role they are transitioning for, so they can make the most educated recommendations for the person who will be the actual cabinet member.
'; ... his ';Obama's) administration could be heavily stocked with Democrats who served under (President) Clinton.';

So what? First, that is change from the current administration. Second, as President (in January, not now) he will be directing these people to run the government his way.

Who are you to say change isn't happening? I think Obama will be a great president, even though it seems a lot of people are ready to write him off before he even gets started.
These ';insiders'; will be tasked to work according to the President's directives. If he instructs someone to implement a policy, the staff-member's job will be to so implement. Change will come from the policy directives, executed by seasoned, experienced staff.

In contrast, Carter and Bush both brought in large crews of friends/allies lacking Washington experience. Carter had his buddies from Georgia and Bush had his big $ donor cronies (e.g., Michael ';Arabesque-horse judging Brownie'; Brown). Both presidencies were plagued by incompetence.
Marketing research showed voters wanted CHANGE. By not being too specific anything Obama does is change. Him being elected is CHANGE. Voters read into the slogan whatever they want to. His popularity gives Obama the currency to do whatever he chooses.

LMAO!!
...oh just stop the non sense, as previously stated be patient. Obama hasn't even took office yet, Bush is still in office; however you can already see Obama change working just keep watching...
Jan 20th :)

There will be a change.

The first thing he should do is change all republican citizenship.

They want to stay they have to prove they want what is best for the country.
He hasn't assumed office.

He needs experienced people to implement change. The only source is Clinton administration.
Changes:

Foreign policy

Trade policy

Energy policy

Healthcare policy.
The change is a new president......He's a democratic politician, you believed him?
are you saying that ALL Clinton's cabinet advisors were bad?

I thought you just had a problem with his secretary of penis.
He can't possibly keep his word with those people as his administration...don't think he intended to.
Earth to ';Retired';: Inauguration day is January 20, 2009.
There can be familar faces and different policy.

Be patient !
Hey you! Yeah, I’m talking to you Obama supporters.

King Barack knows you paid for his Greek columns, trip to Europe and infomercial and I’m sure you’ve pleased him.

But he needs more.

Didn’t you get the email he had his campaign manager David Plouffe sent you? Stop whining about having to put gas in your tank and pay your mortgage…you’re annoying the king. Didn’t you read what David Plouffe said. What? You forgot because you were to busy figuring out how you were going to pay your bills? You ungrateful bastards. Let me refresh your memory:

“We’ll get to work transforming this country. But first, we need to take care of the DNC. Before we do anything else, we need to pay for this winning strategy.”

That’s right-you heard him. Take care of the Democratic National Committee FIRST! Then….they’ll put on their superhero costume and transform the country. But only after you give them some more money.

What’s that? You heard King Barack ended his campaign with extra cash? Well, yes as a matter of fact he did.

But that’s his money now. You gave it to him. And he decided to give it to his staff. You have a problem with that?

So open up those wallets and show him the money! Yes, he knows Christmas is coming but you weren’t silly enough to think hope and change came without a price, were you?
